Reaching for your asthma pump to relieve that cough, but not sure if it's empty or still has a little of the good stuff in it?

Give it a shake to hear if any liquid is still swishing around or place the canister in a bowl of water – if it sinks there is still some medication in it but if it floats, it’s empty.
