30-year-old man looks like a toddler due to rare disease

A single mom whose 30-year-old son still looks like a toddler because of a mysterious disease has vowed to never give up on her son.

Chu Xiaoping (52), from Anhui in China, said her son, Wang Tiafang, stopped growing at the age of two because of a rare illness which local doctors have not been able to diagnose.

“In 1990, when my son was three, a villager suggested that I leave him outside a temple and let someone else take him away,” Xiaoping recalled.

“They said I should just have another child, but I strongly refused.”

Unfortunately, Tiafang is unable to talk, walk or even take care of himself, which means he relies heavily on his mom.

Sadly, Xiaoping says that her son isn’t only physically built like a toddler but intellectually he’s the age of a two-year-old.

The devoted mother, who hasn’t revealed the whereabouts of Tiafang’s father, has vowed to keep her son alive for as long as possible.

“After Wang’s growth condition was first discovered, doctors said he wouldn’t live to see 30.

“I know he’ll never recover, that’s impossible, but all I want is for him to live on.”
