What is the difference between relaxation and stress management?

Stress management helps you to avoid stressful situations, while relaxation training teaches you how to remain calm and quiet in the midst of stress.

Stress management helps you to avoid the stressors or triggers in your life that you can avoid, and minimises or manages your reactions to the stressors you can’t avoid.

Relaxation training helps you to learn to keep your mind, emotions and body quiet or silent in order to optimise your efficiency, energy resources and enjoyment of the present moment.

Relaxation techniques help you to access your own inner peace at any time when you need it. These techniques increase your self awareness and also teaches you how to use your energy efficiently during a stress reaction, rather than wasting energy on tense muscles and the over-arousal of your nervous system.
