Q.

Wisdon teeth operation not healing

Good day
On the 31st of may i went to a Dentist to take out my wisdom tooth. The operation took about 3 hours because i think she was struggling. It is now almost 2 weeks and i still have a very sharp pain, which causes a headache everytime.I have to go back to her on saturday to take the stitches off.But am concerned about the pain and the fact that i cannot chew anything without hurting myself or that sharp pain coming back.

Should i be concerned, what could have gone wrong?i have asked a couple of people around who had this operation, and they all say it(the operation) was not supposed to take that long.Should i go back to her or find someone else?Last night was particularly worse because i could not even sleep on the side of the operation.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on how severe your impaction was, the healing can take up to 6 weeks. If your wisdom tooth was close to the nerve in the area, headaches and sharp pain are very common. return to the dentist who did the surgery
