Q.

Wisdom tooth

Hi Doc

Last Thursday (30 August 2012) I had my bottom left wisdom tooth pulled out. It was bleeding quite alot and I had to keep changing the " dressing in my mouth"  as it was soaked with blood for some time.

Since then the dentist has given me anti-biotics (as I had an infection around the wisdom tooth that was pulled out) and I''ve been on pain killers since then as well.

The gum where the tooth was pulled is not at all sore, but my actual jaw, the tooth before the wisdom tooth is painful and I get bad headaches since then.

Is this normal, will this eventually go away or should I go back and see my dentist?

Thanks

These symptoms are common after wisdom tooth removal. The area should settle in a few days time.
