Q.

wisdom tooth

i recently had a partially erupted wisdom tooth removed as it had developedpericoronitis and i was concerned about subsequesnt bad breath from this. the extraction was easy, i did it at the dentist and it took all of 20 mins in total ...so that was great. however, i now have an odd taste in my mouth. am i correct in assuming this is just due to the fact that the wound i healing? its only been 5 days since i had it taken out. i am on antibiotics and use corsodyl mouthwash. also, i didnt have stitches so now have a big hole where the tooth was...how long will it take to grow closed again?

No it was actually fine not a problem at all :) It took about 10 mins to get the tooth out at most, and its not too sore. i''ve just been using ibuprofen to keep the pain at bay as i went back to work the next day ...hehehe. its much better to get them out, and i can honestly say this extraction was much better than a previous one i had on a smaller front tooth that i needed out for orthodontics. Just do it, its much better to get it sorted.
