Q.

Wisdom teeth after having dentures?

I have had dentures for the last 15 years and have just had a new set that caused the normal ulcers etc on the bottom one but seem to be clearing up now. I have noticed though that at the back of my mouth I have what appears to be a tooth (bone) coming though the gums - could this possibly be a wisdom tooth at 67 years of age and wearing dentures for the past 15 years.

it is most likely a piece of bone or a piece of a root which has been left behind from a previous extraction
