Q.

Why are my teeth yellow?

Hi doc,

my teeth have always been yellow and I don''t know why. They are healthy, I brush twice a day (most of the time with a toothpaste that claims has a whitener), have recently started using a mouthwash that claims to whiten too (on my second bottle, before I used normal mouthwash). I don''t smoke, I drink maybe four cups of tea/ coffee a day (and never while it''s piping hot)- I don''t know what else could be causing the yellowness? It''s not even that they are slightly discoloured- they are YELLOW.

It's most likely the coffee. Did you have your teeth cleaned at the dentist?
