Q.

Whitening Toothpaste

Hi Doc

I see there''s a new whitening toothpaste on the market WhiteGlow with light abrasives. Are these types of whitening toothpastes good over the long term (even though they say it''s safe)? Should i rather use something like Aquafresh whitening without abrasives and go professional tooth whitening at dentist? What are your view on this? I also see WhiteGlo for a 5minute home whitening kit - what are your views on this. is this good/safe to use over the long term?

Your views on this is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Joe

Whitening toothpastes, in my opinion, DO NOT WORK. There is no long term evidence to suggest they are safe and any home bleaching kit that is used unsupervised is discouraged.
