Oral Health

Good day Doctor.

I recently had veneers placed on some of my upper teeth. I just have a few questions please

1. My two canines are a bit discoloured, would it be possible for me to whiten my teeth (beit with a diy kit or at the dentist) or will these methods harm my veneers? Will it have any effect on my veneers whatsoever?

2. I use Colgate whitening mouthwash and whitening toothpaste twice a day. I' ve read on some website that some mouthwashes and toothpastes can in fact do more harm than good. Also that they damage veneers as they have abraisive effect on veneers? Is this true? Should i rather not use them?

Sorry for the long post.

Best regards.

1) do the whitening at the dentist. The veneers will not be damaged.
2) I don't advise whitening toothpastes to my patients. They should not have an a damaging effect on the veneers.
My advice would be to use another toothpaste and have the whitening professionally done

I forgot to mention in my previous post that my two canines do not have veneers on them, just the 4 front teeth between the two canines.
