Toothpain and earache - urgent-in pain

I have a hole in my one tooth, I have noticed that i think since it happened I have been having headaches and in the last week have struggled with earache - only on the left hand side where the problem tooth is. is this because the tooth might be infected? if the tooth is pulled will the earache and headaches also go away?

wisdom tooth pain is usally associated with earache. it is likely that this is the case with you.
