Q.

Toothache and pregnant

I am 27 weeks pregnant and having a toothache , i dont know if its the gums or the wisdom teeth all i can say is i dont sleep all night the pain tablets and mouth wash dont do a thing the pain is so strong i just stand up and walk in my place all night , my main worry is can a dentist take it out or can they give strong medication i need to know what to do without jeopardising my twins.

You need to first consult with the dentist. After assessing the problem he/she will be able to advise on thebest way forward. Emergency treatment can be done whilst preganant- if needs be the dentist will liase with your gynae.
