Tooth sensitivity

Hi Doc

My teeth are extremely sensitive and small spots wich are probably tiny cavities develop right by the gums of my teeth (mainly front ones). It feels like everytime I go to the dentist, and he cleans my teeth, they just get worse. Is it possible that he might be to rough when removing plaque etc with the sharp instrument and as a result damages my enamel? My teeth were never really strong.

Because I smoke the fillings I already have on my top and bottom canine is going yellow/brown. Is it possible to restore the color? Or do you think it' s best to get veneers, since my teeth are so sensitive and just getting cavities everytime I check in the mirror. Would veneers stop the sensitivity or is there some kind of pernament overlay that can protect my fragile teeth?

it sounds as though you might have weak enamel near the gums of the teeth- this does occur often. Speak to your dentst about your concerns- he will be able to repair those areas.

The colour of the fillings can only be changed if the fillings are redone
Veneers or crowns are an option. Crowns are usually a better option in this case
