Q.

Tooth aching

I have a front tooth that have rotten halfway after a piece was kicked out. From this week the tooth is very sore if I touch it. I contacted a dentist and they said I might have to extract it. I want to know is it save for me to extract it myself and how deep the root is of the front teeth? Will I need to go and make a new tooth for that hole?

What can I do to relieve the tenderness of the tooth seeing that I do not have medical aid or the money to go the the dentist?

I obviously do not advise you to extract the tooth yourself.
Length of roots differ from patient ot patient- it can only be assessed on xray.
You can replace the tooth if you want but it is not compulsory to do so.
go to an emergency state facility- the one at Joburg General is operational.
