Son 6years old

Good day, I had my son a week ago at the dentist. She says 5 of his permanent teeth needs fillings. It is the back teeth does that teeth not fall out at some stage? and what sort of medication can I give to him to help better/stronger tooth growth?

Your son will start showing his permanent teeth at round 5 years. It is imperative that you look after these teeth well especially at this early stage. My experience is that kids at this age don’t have the dexterity nor the inclination to do an effective job a cleaning their teeth. It is therefore your duty as a parent to still continue brushing their teeth for them, effectively, twice a day. Only at around 8 would I stop active brushing I would still monitor his brushing technique. Early damage and decay will contribute to future problems.

Unfortunately there is no magic tablet that will help with tooth decay. Good old brushing and flossing is still the best….
