Q.

RootCanal

Hi Doc,
I have a similar issue to a question that had been raised earlier after also having root canal treatment. This was performed 5 weeks ago and has been temp filled. My front tooth is still sensitive and starts slightly throbbing after about 5 days after my visit to the dentist. There is still some pus buildup and I am now on a different antibiotic (klacid xl 500mg x 5). Xrays reveal bone is fine with no signs of infection. Dentist says if it does not clear up by friday I might have to see an ENT ??? What could prevent this tooth/canal from healing 100%. Thank you

Root canal treatment are not 100% successful always. Sometimes they do fail if the infection is persistent for other reasons which may or may not be known
