Q.

Root canal - negative impact on health

My dentist has advised that I require a root canal. However a friend who is seeing a biological dentist was advised that root canal treatments can have long term adverse impact on your health? Pleaase advise wheter a root canal is safe procedure or whether it would be better to remove the tooth?

Root canal is a VERY safe procedure- I would recommend it 100%.
Ask your friend to ask the "biological dentist" for scientific proof of his statmenets- I have yet to see any to this effect.

There is not a single dental association in the entire world that I know of that says that root canal treatments are unsafe.
