Root Canal /Crown

Hi there !

I just came from my dentist, i wanted him to do a crown on my front tooth then he said i t will take 6 weeks coz first he has to do a root canal then i have another appointment for next week im not sure what he is going to do ! why 6 weeks and are there things called permanent dentures?

A permanent denture is removable.crowns and bridges are prosthesis that are not removable.

thanks, after the root canal treatment i had yesterday i was fine, but this afternoon i feel pain as if someone knocked my tooth of... please help is this normal?
