Please can you tell us where, in JHB one can go to in order to have amalgam fillings removed? Every 2nd tooth in my mouth just about has an amalgam filling, dating back to when I was a child, had a major cycling accident and ended up cracking the majority of my teeth so much that amalgam was used to do the repair work. On top of that, through the years, if I developed a cavity, again, amalgam was the first and only choice offered to me and some of the cavities were really deep.
My own dentist is of the opinion to leave it ' well enough alone'  and not fiddle with it but as I have suffered from various neurological pains for most of my life which no one could accurately identify, I would LOVE to have all these amalgam fillings removed to see if this would make a difference to my health.
I have contacted close on 11 of my friends dentists, all of whom say they are not fond of ' messing"  with amalgam fillings'  so WHERE on earth, in this town does one go to remove these old mercury fillings? The SAFE way........?

I would greatly appreciate your feed back....
