Problem with upper molar

Hi Doc ,
Please may I have your advice,

I have been battling with a painfull left maxillary sinus for the last 6months or so , the pain is tollerable and sometimes not ,no running nose just the pain and it feels as if something is stuck in my sinus , it has also started to effect my ear and I get these off balance episodes now and then. I have been to my GP 3 times in the 6 months and was treated for sinusitus , antibiotics, painkillers and cortisone , but the symptoms will not subside , so I decided to visit an ENT , I was send for a CT scan and the ENT reveiled according to the scan my problem is my molar tooth roots that has grown into my sinus cavity , what treatment can I expect ? The ENT has suggested I see a maxillofacial and oral surgeon , is this realy neccesary or can I just see my dentist ? Thanking you in advance for your reply

See your dentist first- you may only need a root canal treatment.
