So, i had my operation on Friday and it didnt hurt that much. I am so scared of dry socket that i didnt use a straw or spit to hard but it''s been 4 days since my op and the pain is still there. I am a smoker and also didnt smoke since my operation and want to know when is it safe to start smoking again? I dont want to quit. Is it still possible for the blood clot to dislodge after 4 days?

I rinse my mouth with not too hot salt water after every meal and before bedtime with Andolex (green inti inflammatory rinse), is it too much rinsing?

I need some advice please. My dentist didnt give me any do''s and dont''s.

yes the clot can dislodge. the rinsing is ok.
smoking increases the chance of dry socket. so it's best not to start smoking if you still have pain.
