Q.

Possible root canal

Hi

A while ago a dentist replaced my silver filling which broke off with a white filling. Since then it has been so painful. I''ve never had the money to have it looked into until now.

My new dentist tried to fix the filling she did which was extremely close to the nerve so since then it had been worse than before. with a constant dull ache. I''ve been living on pain killers for 6 days now.

Doc filed the filling a little bit and put a varnish around the tooth hoping for more dentine to form around the filling.

He said he''ll call me in 2 days if the pain is not better he said we''ll have to do a root canal and remove the nerve.

Will I have to pay for the root canal as it wasn''t my fault if so how much are we looking at? I''m afraid to ask.
