Q.

piece of tooth left

hi , I took my 5 yea old son to the dentist today because he was complaining about one painful tooth at the back. The dentist took the tooth out, and now after I removed that cotton I noticed that he left a peace of that tooth. Is the small piece not going to cause problems for my son, I''m concerned because the piece that is left looks sharp. Please advice.

almost always what a patient think is a tooth after an extraction is the bone surrounding the tooth.
return to the dentist to confirm whether this is true in your case
