Q.

periodontal diseases

i had gingivitus for a few years, largely due to stress i think. Dentists never stessed the severity of it.. so now i have mild peridontal disease. I go for cleans every 4 months (eina!) ..
I am 39 and concerned how my teeth will be at 60.
she said the mm was 3-4 of most teeth.
i haven' t had gingivitus for over a year and my gums don' t bleed anymore, i floss every night.
what else do you recommend?
does mouthwash really help?
can the mm imrpove, say go to a 2mm?

thanx
Denise

3-4 mm is not bad. regular flossing and brushing will maintain the health and teeth of your gums. mouthwash is not essential but can be used if your dentist thinks it will help you.
