Q.

Osteomyelitis

Good day. I had a procedure to repair nerve damage due to osteomyelitis and had new bone put in about a year ago but now am feeling the same pain as I had before the operation. Apparently this was caused by a dodgy root canal I had but nevertheless it is back(the pain) what do you recommend. I cant talk for long without having some form of an electric like shock pain on my toungue and lips. The pain is excrutiating and it' s hard to sleep on that side so am very stressed. Pain killers do not work at all coz the pain is aggravated by movement, its hard to brush my teeth. Please advise.

In such cases if the prognosis is good retreatment of the root canal id advised.
If not , an extraction may be needed
