Q.

Old metal filling

A piece of my tooth has broken off leaving the side of an old metal filling exposed. I cannot afford to have it fixed right now but am concerned that the filling may be detrimental to my health. Is there cause for concern?

the filling itself will not be detrimental to your health but leaving it unattended greatly increases your chances of loosing your tooth later and causing pain.
