Q.

Metal Filling Reaction?

Can a metal filling cause a disgusting taste in my mouth? It is around the area of the filling where the tastes come from especially when eating fruits i.e. grapes. Is there a reaction between the metal and the fruit/food? I have very good dental hygiene. Brush twice a day, floss and use a mouthwash. It is really awfull. Is there anything that can make it go away?

it is unlikely that the filling is causing the problem- it may be an infection around the tooth/gum.
