Q.

Jaw still Clicking :(

I posted a query relating to my jaw clicking after my wisdom tooth surgery a month ago. I discussed my concerns with my Surgeon during our follow up appointment, he became extremely defensive and blamed the anesthesiologist, he was rather shocked at how loud the click is and said he didn''''t want to alarm me. He prescribed 2 weeks of anti inflammatories and told me to come back in July if the clicking hadn''''t gone. I was rather concerned with his response and am now even more concerned, I am experiencing constant back and neck ache and an occasional ringing in my ear, I don''''t think I should wait another 2 months and am not even sure he''''s giving me the correct advice? Are these all normal post operative symptoms? Or should I get a second opinion? (As per query 97, which you have missed)

I also have a " clicking jaw" . After a long time of clicking, head-,neck- and ear ache I could not take it any more. I had x-rays done and discovered that I have ''Tempomaribular Joint Disorder'' (hope I spelled it correct). There are a number of causes for this and I am not saying that you have this joint disorder, but I am suggesting that you have x-rays taken to get a better idea of what causes your discomfort. Hope this helps.
