Q.

Is this a problem?

Im a 27 year old woman.
Just over a year ago - i think I damaged one of my front teeth - I Was trying to open the pull ring on a bottle of pills and my top front tooth started to hurt and feel a little loose since then.
I struggle to bite down hard, like on an apple, and every now and then the tooth hurts. It feels, for lack of a better word, " insecure" . It moves a little if i place my finger on it and bite down. Should i get this checked out? It comes and goes...
Some history - when i was 12, i had braces and I had a fall where two of my front teeth, the one in question, and another one, were knocked out of place and were subsequently forced back in time, and with the help of the braces, healed over time.
Now though, it seems like I hurt that same tooth again.
What should i now do? I''m worried cos it hurts at the moment - like a dull ache. Can it be fixed?

yes, it sounds as though you have an abscess on the tooth or possibly a fracture. prognosis will depend on what the dentist finds after the examination
