Oral Health

Hello Doc,

I recently read an article about a special type of braces that has been developed called the Inman Aligner. Apparently, it fits behind the teeth (so is not visible), and it works faster than the standard braces (4-5 months) and, therefore, is also cheaper. I asked my own dentist about it, but he knew of no orthodontist that does the procedure.
Frstly, what do you think about the inman aligner as compared to the standard braces?
Secondly, is it a better and cheaper procedure for SAs (because my dentist said it is more expensive because it is a Bristish device)&  Thirdly, where do I find dentists in Johannesburg who specialise in this technique?

I have not heard of this procedure and do not know of anyone in SA performing it- sorry

Hi There

This seems to be quite popular in the UK. Do you know if anyone in SA is doing it yet?
