gums

Good day,i had bit of a gum infection few weeks ago,my dentist prescribed me medications and she just told me that basicly its really up to me how quick it will go away by brushing my teeth alot ,using good mouth wash and warm water with salt at that stage my gums only on one side were swollen but it was high uo on a gum and it almost felt lik eit was in my cheeck not gum i also felt uncomfortable to swallow as my trout felt like if i had a sore troat.. but anyway.i did everything what my dentist told me to do and it did go away....but today i woke up and feel similar pain and my troat feels strange again but its not as bad as before and iam not as swollen as before but i can accually localize exact spot on my gums where i had an infection...it doesnt feel in my cheek anymore i have a little swollen bump on littl e part of my gum and it almost look like its a final part of the infection before it disapears if u know hwta i mean caus ebefore i couldn localize place and i know from previous experience where i had that bump and it eventually poped and all that terrible stuffs did come out ....so i think that it is the same thing...but not sure..so pls if u could avdise me regards

it sounds as though you have a periodontal abscess.
If this is confirmed by x-rays the condition needs to be treated (deep gum cleaning, root canal).
Antibiotics alone will not trea the condition

thank you for advise,but just to make it clear the other time when i had this bump it was when i had tooth absces it had nothing to do with the gums an dit was like 7 years ago...but otherwise my gums are alright they dont look red dont bleed and my teeth are not loose or anything like that.....so i dont think it would be any serious gum diseas but i could most probably say that maybe it is absces in my gums.
