Q.

gum infection?

i had a filling done at my local hospital. i ve been experinecing pain with it since, when i went back they said i hav a gum infection,how would i know for sure? the other option i was given was to have an extraction,which i didnt want as i want to save the tooth.

what options r available to me,how do i know if it is a gum infection.

please advise. thanx

If the infection has spread to the gum- you would need a root canal treatment done in order to save the tooth.
An x-ray will help in the diagnosis
