Gum disease is a very complex condition that affects about 20% of the population. The management and treatment is mostly geared towards prevention and maintenance. Although you are doing a great job in cleaning your teeth and gums regularly and effectively, you might want to consider the following:
Seeing a dental Hygienist on a 3 monthly basis to help you reach those areas that a normal tooth brush can’t get to
Consulting with a periodontal specialist – periodontist. They will be able to establish the level of gum disease and where necessary the additional treatment you might require to establish good health.
Unfortunately gum disease needs consistent, stable treatment to establish and maintain good health
