Q.

Gum disease

I think I have gum disease, as my gums are frequently inflamed and painful. Over the last 5 years I also had to extract 4 loose teeth. Should I go to a dentist, or should I see a gums specialist straight away? Also, is chewing gum a good thing (to help keeping breath fresh) - as I notice my gums are more sensitive after chewing gum
