Glass Ionomer

Hi Doc

I have extremely sensitive teeth and spoke to my dentist and he advised on using toothpastes for sensitive teeth. I''ve tried them all and they just don''t relieve the pain at all. I was thinking with new technology surrounding us, why there are only toothpastes available that aren''t very effective. How can a person feel constant pain on their teeth until those teeth fall out with old age?

I came across Glass Ionomer being used for sensitive teeth and yet I haven''t heard about it from any of my dentists. is there a reason for that? Can it be used to help relieve the sensitivity or the dentists just don''t use it for sensitive teeth? If that could help, would I have to change my dentists and how much would it cost? I hope you can help out

thank you in advance
