Q.

front tooth cracked

i was just wondering one of my front teeth has a thin hairline crack from top to bottom in the middle, it has not broken yet, but i am concerned that it might, the past couple of days i have noticed it started feeling sensitive when eeting, what can be done to prevent it from cracking right through as i do not want to lose this tooth and i do not have medical aid. do you suggest i do make an appointment and maybe have a cap put on and aproximately how much would that cost?

These "cracks" very common and normal in most cases.
However if its sensitive it could be more serious.
In these cases crowning is usually indicated.
costs are in the region on R3 500
