Q.

Dentist suggests ''moving my sinus"

I need to have an old bridge removed, my dentist recommends that i have an implant done. (upper left side). He said that my sinus must be moved so that the implant can be done. I am not happy about the procedure to move or lift my sinsus. Is this a common procedure, what are the risks and would you recommend it?
I suggested having another bridge done instead. He said he wasnt sure of the condition of my tooth underneath my bridge.
He did take Xrays .

the procedure is called a sinus lift procedure. Risks will depend on many factors and need to be discussed with your surgeon.
If you are not happy with the procedure DO NOT go ahead with it.
It is a fairly invasive procedure and the risks associated with it are much more than a bridge
