dental problem

hi doctor i would like to ask, my son is 22months old i had him at a dentist for his 4 front teeth they said the enamel is off the teeth but my question to you is does milk teeth have nerves, roots etc, cause he wont bit with his front teeth so i was wondering if it could be sore. please help, thanks
