There is some pain after the surgery. For completion times- speak to youe dentist- this can be affected by many factors.

Hi, I am now 57 and are having my 10, 11 an 12th implant in a few days, so if I can do it so can you. To answer your Q, yes it is painful just as anything else, extracting a tooth etc. So don''t worry, it is nothing compared to many other pains. The doctor will give you something for the pain.
Lastly, once the implant is placed in your jaw, it takes about 6 mnts to oseo integrate with the bone, and only then you will visit your dentist to start the actual tooth fitting on the implant.
Enjoy
