Dental implant

Hi there

Iam sure some of you have had implants done. How does it feel when it has healed. Does it feel like normal tooth or are you constently aware of the implant.

My docter recommemnded that i have my bottom right molar that has been extracted replaced by an implant. I have read all he good things and there is very little side effects, however I do not want something implanted that I am going to be constently aware of like a false tooth r bridge.

Please give honest opinion. Are you happy about the money spent.

just got my crown on tuesday and it felt really strange for a bit but i' m totally used to it now.

mine cost me about R30 000 in total but only because I had to have surgery to remove some titanium plates and screws.
usually i don' t think it costs more that R15K. the crown itself for the implant is just more expensive that a regular crown. Mine cost R5250 all inclusive just for the crown.

good luck!

Thanx for your reply. I have made my consultation appointment with a surgeon/ specialist for 23 November. I am most probably only going to get my tooth by next year totally finished.

I have pay this all out of my own pocket so hopfully it will not be to rediculously expensive.

good luck!
