Dental Braces

Hi Doc

Please can you assist me? I have a thirteen year old daughter and at her last dental check up I was told by the dental practitioner that she will require braces. He gave me a ball-park figure of about R20,000. Please could you advise me if this is correct because after enquiring i get different estimates. I know that it would be difficult to give me a figure without a consultation however I would like to get her teeth sorted out and even though I am on a good medical aid the cost of this will be coming out of my savings and if it is indeed going to cost about R20,000 that would mean i will not have any available funds for any other medical emergencies. Please would you be able to refer me to a good dentist on in Westrand area (Roodepoort, florida, etc..) who does not charge such exhorbitant fees. Thanks for your time.

R20 000 for braces sounds reasonable.
