Q.

Correcting front teeth

HI Doc,

One of my big teeth in front is a little scew, just by a few millimeters. I want to let the dentist file or grind (my dentistry terms are out of date sorry) away the 2 or so milimeters thats kind of overlapping the other big tooth and then grind or file it so it' s straight.

My questions is,
1.can a dentist do this or another specialist?
2.is there anything that would disqualify me for such a procedure?

Thanks :)

1) a dentist can do this
2) yes- if a large amoount needs to be trimmed, if the discrepency is too big, unfavourable position of adjacent teeth
