Cleaning of Gums

Good day - Recently got false teeth and now a few months later noticed that my gums have a greyish type film on them. If I rub really hard it seems to disapear but brushing my gums is very very sore. I am a smoker and think it could be from this. Is there anything you can adv that I clean clean this off with. I gargle every morning and every night and my teeth are soaked overnight in Corega but I also every now and then sleep with them, because I am still adapting to not having teeth anymore. I tried brusging my gums with bicarb and it helps a little little bit also cleaned the night before with pure brandy - wiping with a cotton swab but only helped a little little bit too - gums are a little eina now!!
