Q.

Cavity Infection

Hi Doc
Had the tooth pulled yesterday and basically slept it off until this morning did have to take ibuprofen twice since 12pm yesterday. I notice that there is not that much of a clot in the cavity and that there seems to be a bit of pus in and around the cavity. There is not much pain but can still feel kind of mild throbbing sensation and that area.

Is it ok for there to be a bit of pus, as long as there is no major pain, and can I rinse very gently or maybe just swirl salt water around there?

Help please should I be worried or just carry on as normal and rinse lightly.

PS: Scared I get dry socket again if I brush or rinse

It should be fine to rinse gently today. brushing is essential.
As long as the pain is not severe it should settle
