Q.

Cant Figure it Out

Yesterday out of nowhere I was eating lunch when I got this shooting pain through the left hand side of my jaw. I thought that maybe I have a cavity somewhere in my far back molar but I cant see anything and when i brush over and around the tooth i dont hit any sensitive spots like usual when I have had a hole before in other teeth. The pain feels as if it is coming from under the tooth. Is it possible that something has gotten under it and is causing the pain? I take good care of my teeth and it doesnt seem possible to have a hole all of a sudden...but maybe it is? I want to to consider all options before I have to pay to see a dentist.
