Broken tooth

Dear doc

My tooth had a cavity and it progressed until i got an absess,i had excruciating pain but couldnt afford to get it extracted, finally the pain stopped, but one day i bit something and the tooth broke in half while still intact in the gum ,and one day one of the haves of the tooth just fell out, without any pain, now my problem is the other half is still intact but loose and my gum has grown over the place where the other half of the tooth broke and i experience pain when i bite onto something,i just want to find out if i will need surgery to extract the tooth and how much will it cost?

the choice for surgery will depend on various factors-positiion of nerve, tooth etc.
you will need an xray to decide on the way forward
