Q.

Braces behind the teeth

Hi There,

I am interested in getting braces but behind my teeth, as I want to conceal them wherever possible. I understand they are double the price of the conventional " railway tracks" . What are the advantages/disadvantages of having it &  what is the usual time frame? Im experiencing serious overcrowding &  around 60% of my teeth are skew.

I am getting married in a year &  would like to have my teeth straight by then.
Are there any new developments with dentistry which accelerates the process?

the average time for orthodontic treatment is 18-24 months
lingual braces are just as effective as the ones placed on the outside but cost much more
