Bad taste in mouth after root canal

I hope you can help me. I had a root canal done in November last year. Before the root canal was done i had a slight infection and was given an antibiotic. After completing the antibiotics the dentist performed a root canal.
A few months down the line i still have bleeding from the tooth where the root canal was done and there' s constantly a bad taste in my mouth coming from that specific tooth.
What can be causing the bleeding and the bad taste? And what can be done to relieve it?

it is most likely an infection. you need to have an xray taken to see if this is indeed the case- if so the root canal needs to be redone

Hi Doc,
I have a similar issue after also having root canal treatment. This was performed 4 weeks ago and has been temp filled. My front tooth is still sensitive and starts slightly throbbing after about 5 days after my visit to the dentist. There is still some pus buildup and I am now on a different antibiotic (klacid xl 500mg x 5). Xrays reveal bone is fine with no signs of infection. Dentist says if it does not clear up by friday I might have to see an ENT ??? What could prevent this tooth/canal from healing 100%. Thank you.

Thanks so much for your help.

Is there anything I can use in the meantime to relieve the bad taste?

Needless to say the procedure was expensive, might take sometime before I can get back to the dentist.

How effective are root canal procedures and would having another one be better than losing the tooth?
