Q.

Bad breath

I have been 2 the dentist twice the last month due to bad breath.
They did not find any cavities but I am sure there must be some, at least 1 on each side. I can sense that people are standing back when I speak, and I can smell it myself as well.
The dentist gave my teeth a good clean and took x rays.
They don''t find anything.

Questions.
- When I floss on the right hand side jaw between 2 teeth and I smell the floss then the floss really smells bad. What happens when there is a cavity between 2 teeth? How is this treated, must I get a crown?
- On the left hand side between 1 crown and another tooth, the same applies with the smelly floss. The dentist says it''s a gap that collects food that then smells and that I must just floss it every night. However after flossing at night, not eating anything and flossing in the morning it smells again. So I don''t believe it is food stuck in a gap.
Can a crown be popped of too inspect the tooth next to it. Can the same crown be reinstalled again? The crown is mounted with
a pin.
Please advise what to do.
Thanks very much.

a cavity can be fixed by placing a filling. A crown is not necessary if the tooth is not badly broken down. It is unlikley you have a cavity if the dentist on 2 occasions did not find anything. Floss will smell after you use it.
Bad breath is not always caused by a dental/oral problem.
If there is no such casue see your doctor- bad breath can be caused by a GIT/ throat condition
