Q.

Bad Breath

Hi there,
My breath smells like poo....My daughter often asks " who farted"  after I have spoken to them or greeted them. (apologies to be so descriptive)
I have a very good dental regime where I brush my teeth everyday, and use a mouthrinse.
I also have receeding gums and have been treated for gum disease.
However, I dont think the putrid smell is related to my teeth....please help!! I am really embarrassed to talk to people and would love to have a fresh breath as I also enjoy kissing..and would like to have confidence again.

if you have been treated for gum disease it is very likely that the smell is emanating from the gums.
This condition needs to be monitored regularly (every 4 months).
see your dentist for this and only if gum disease is excluded as the cause of the problem, see yuor physician
